Production Engineer High Wycombe £35,000 to £40,000 Monday to Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm Production Engineer The Role You will play a key role in ensuring product quality, improving production efficiency, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives on the production floor. Key Responsibilities: · Perform rapid fault-finding, diagnosis, and repair of PCBs using schematics and circuit diagrams. · Collaborate with design and test engineering teams to resolve complex electrical issues during production. · Conduct root cause analysis for recurring failures and implement corrective actions. · Support the production line with real-time troubleshooting and provide technical guidance to operators and technicians. · Develop and maintain test procedures, documentation, and repair logs. · Work with cross-functional teams to improve production yield, quality, and reliability. · Assist in the introduction of new products into manufacturing, ensuring DFM (Design for Manufacturing) principles are followed. · Participate in continuous improvement initiatives. Production Engineer The Candidate The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electronics, with proven experience in quickly diagnosing and resolving faults on printed circuit boards (PCBs) using circuit diagrams and other diagnostic tools. You will also have the following skills, experiences and attributes… · Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or equivalent practical experience. · Strong experience in fault-finding and repair of PCBs using circuit diagrams. · Proficient in the use of test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and logic analysers. · Ability to read and interpret electronic schematics, datasheets, and layout drawings. · Hands-on experience with soldering and rework of surface mount and through-hole components. · Familiarity with ESD precautions and IPC standards is a plus.
