Procurement Manager
As a Procurement Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the management of current contracts and assisting in new tenders where required. This position reports to the Head of Procurement and involves working closely with Commercial Managers and flexing across Direct and Indirect categories to include Sub-Contractors, Civils, Utilities, Cabling, Switchgears, and Transformers.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Working with operational teams to lead supplier performance reviews, including recording output into proprietary systems, providing feedback to suppliers, and implementing improvement plans as necessary.
2. Leading full end-to-end processes for project-specific procurement tenders.
3. Supporting bid teams by providing up-to-date and accurate procurement data and sub-contractor/supplier costs as required, ensuring the best value for money and added value price is identified.
4. Working with operational teams on an ongoing basis to ensure that sub-contractors and suppliers are the best fit for contracts and continue to deliver value to support contract retention and exemplar customer satisfaction.
5. Supporting operational delivery teams in pre-commencement periods through the publication of known/national SLAs and the development of contract-specific, value-adding SLAs with key suppliers.
Requirements:
* Experience in project-based procurement.
* Confidence, knowledge, and drive to contribute to the team.
* MCIPS qualification (although progression to MCIPS will be supported).
* Managed project procurement spends exceeding £2m.
* Lead Procurement Projects from start to finish.
* Mix of direct and indirect procurement experience and capability.
* Understanding of stakeholder needs through engagement within specific business units, supporting colleagues operating within different sectors.
* Knowledge of markets and ability to anticipate their effect on the business.
* Confident, enthusiastic, and self-managing individual.
