2 Month Contract with A Local Authority
Job Purpose
To maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the school premises, ensuring a safe and clean environment for pupils, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
* Clean classrooms, offices, corridors, toilets, and communal areas in accordance with cleaning schedules.
* Sweep, mop, vacuum, polish, and disinfect floors and surfaces.
* Empty bins and dispose of waste in a hygienic and safe manner.
* Refill soap, toilet paper, and paper towel dispensers.
* Report any health and safety hazards or maintenance issues to the Site Manager.
* Lock/unlock rooms or areas as required (if part of duties).
* Ensure equipment and cleaning materials are used safely and stored properly.
* Follow school safeguarding and health & safety policies at all times.
Requirements
* Previous cleaning experience (preferably in a school or similar environment)
* Ability to work independently and use initiative
* Reliable, punctual, and responsible
* Good attention to detail
* Understanding of basic hygiene and health & safety requirements
Requirements
Previous experience as an estate cleaner General education qualification (desirable) UK driving licence
