Your role as a Senior Operational Leader will involve various responsibilities that may change based on business needs. We are looking for adaptable and flexible individuals. Key duties include:
1. Leading a large, geographically dispersed team of HEOs, reporting to Grade 7, and setting strategic priorities.
2. Making complex decisions independently and swiftly, applying technical knowledge and sound judgment.
3. Driving performance through regular reviews, risk management, and continuous improvement.
4. Championing business change by effectively embedding new policies and procedures.
5. Building strong relationships with senior stakeholders across government and external organizations.
6. Providing visible leadership via site visits and engaging communication.
7. Fostering motivated, flexible teams by listening, acting on feedback, and setting high standards.
8. Promoting innovation and collaboration across teams and directorates.
9. Overseeing people planning and resource deployment across sites.
10. Enhancing customer experience by designing and managing roles and processes.
11. Ensuring compliance with DWP policies and legislation, managing risks promptly and sensitively.
Due to the team's geographical spread, this role requires frequent travel and overnight stays.
