Education and qualifications
Essential criteria
1. Masters degree in Pharmacy (MPharm)
2. Member of the Royal Pharmaceutical Council
3. Diploma in Pharmacy Practice or equivalent
4. Mandatory CPD to maintain fitness to practice
Desirable criteria
5. MSc
6. Previous publications in national journals
7. Independent prescriber
Knowledge and experience
Essential criteria
8. Relevant hospital experience
9. Wide range of ward pharmacy experience
10. Good, broad clinical knowledge and ability to apply to a ward and dispensary setting
11. Training, mentorship, supervision of staff
12. Documented evidence of completed audit work and research practice
13. Apply knowledge to practice
14. Working knowledge of primary literature databases

15. Appraisal of staff
16. Experience in caring for level 2 Critically ill post-op surgical patients
