Uniform Education is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school in Berkshire. The school provides a safe, structured, and nurturing environment for pupils with a range of needs, including Autism (ASC), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), and Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD).
Your Role Will Include:

Supporting pupils with SEN on a 1:1 and small group basis, ensuring they can access learning and daily activities
*
Assisting the teacher with delivering adapted lessons, sensory activities, and life skills programmes
*
Encouraging independence, social interaction, and confidence through positive reinforcement
*
Using communication systems such as PECS, Makaton, and visual supports to aid understanding
*
Providing personal care and mobility support when needed
*
Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and families to support EHCP outcomes
What We’re Looking For:
*
Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN (in a school or care setting)
*
A calm, resilient, and empathetic approach to supporting pupils with additional needs
*
Confidence using structured and sensory-based strategies to support learning
*
Willingness to assist with personal care where required
*
A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
