My client, a leading global multi-strategy hedge fund, is seeking a Junior Full-Stack Developer to join a small, high-impact technology group supporting Portfolio Managers, traders, and quantitative researchers.
This is a front-line engineering role with direct exposure to investment decision-making. You will work closely with PMs and researchers to transform ideas, research code, and ad-hoc analysis into robust, production-grade tools used in live trading and research environments.
The role is ideally suited to an early-career engineer who enjoys ownership, close interaction with users, and solving real-world problems in a fast-moving, intellectually demanding environment. You’ll benefit from close mentorship while being trusted to deliver independently from an early stage.
The team builds and maintains core tools that sit at the heart of the firm’s macro and relative-value investment framework, spanning data ingestion, web scraping, analytics, and interactive dashboards.
Responsibilities
* Build and deploy internal web applications and analytical tools used by PMs and researchers
* Take research code and proofs-of-concept through to production-grade systems
* Work directly with traders and quantitative researchers to capture requirements and deliver solutions
* Contribute to data ingestion pipelines, including web scraping and reverse-engineering workflows
* Support shared tooling and infrastructure used across investment teams
Requirements
* Strong programming fundamentals; Python experience preferred
* Comfortable working across the full lifecycle from research and prototyping through to production
* Exposure to web technologies, data pipelines, or web scraping is a plus
* Strong communication skills with a product-focused, ownership-driven mindset
* Interest in financial markets and data advantageous, but not required
