About the Job
Hours per week: 37. Contract type: 2 years (apprenticeship). Salary: £25,185 - £25,583 a year pro rata. This role is the Event Assistant apprenticeship. This role is all about supporting the successful delivery of events and activities, while working closely with colleagues and partners to make things happen. The major event is the annual Luton Apprenticeship Awards and National Apprenticeship Week; you will also work on a number of other events throughout the year. You’ll help plan, organise and deliver, whether that means gathering information, coordinating resources, or keeping track of event data and budgets.
Every day will bring something different. You might be preparing reports, managing event logistics, updating records, or using digital tools and social media to help us connect with our audiences. You’ll need to be adaptable, as there may be occasions where evening or weekend work is required to support events. At the heart of this role is collaboration. You’ll work with a supportive team, but you’ll also have the chance to take initiative and work independently to ensure everything runs smoothly.
Please note this role does not attract sponsorship.
About You: You’ll already have experience of working as part of a team, but you’ll also feel confident using your own initiative. Building positive relationships comes naturally, and you enjoy working with others to get the best results. Strong communication skills are a must. You’ll be comfortable speaking with people at all levels, able to build trust and rapport, and just as confident when it comes to putting things in writing. Drafting emails, preparing reports, and presenting information clearly will all be part of your role. As an apprentice you will develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours that you need to succeed in this role. You will need to meet the eligibility criteria for the Funding Rules. If you want any additional information, please contact LBC Apprenticeships LBCApprenticeships@luton.gov.uk. This is a public-facing role, so you’ll need to show fluency in speaking and writing English.
