We are currently seeking an experienced Process Setter to join our Technical team at Dearing Plastics in Brough, Hull. This is a hands-on role critical to ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant setup and operation of injection moulding and blow moulding processes, delivering high-quality components that meet both production and customer requirements.
Working within an ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System, you will play a key role in process control, product conformity, safety, and continuous improvement across our manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities

Perform tool and insert changes in line with documented procedures, ensuring consistency and full traceability
*
Set, adjust, and optimise machine parameters in accordance with approved work instructions
*
Carry out machine setups, trials, and validation of new materials and tooling prior to production approval
*
Complete setup checklists, trial reports, and other QMS documentation accurately
*
Conduct and document first-off and last-off inspections, escalating nonconformances and supporting corrective actions
*
Perform mandatory equipment safety checks before production start
*
Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, quality, and environmental procedures
*
Support continuous improvement (Kaizen) initiatives, including root cause analysis (RCA) and CAPA activities
*
Maintain high standards of housekeeping and 5S to ensure efficiency and audit readiness
*
Complete all production, inspection, and process records to support traceability and compliance
*
Work closely with Quality, Technical, and Production teams to meet process and customer requirements
*
Support internal and external audits by providing evidence of process control and conformance
What We’re Looking For
*
Previous experience as a Process Setter / Moulding Setter in a quality-controlled manufacturing environment
*
Practical experience with injection moulding and/or blow moulding machinery
*
Strong understanding of ISO 9001:2015 principles and requirements
*
Proven ability in machine setup, tool changeovers, and process troubleshooting
*
Familiarity with control plans, risk assessments, and standard operating procedures
*
Confident in completing accurate production records, inspection sheets, and quality documentation
*
Strong focus on health & safety, quality, and continuous improvement
