Reed Sales & Marketing are incredibly excited to be working exclusively with a West Yorkshire based client in their search for an experienced Sales Director to drive new revenue generation and develop the internal sales and estimating teams.

Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and execute the national sales strategy, ensuring alignment with company growth targets and industry regulations.
* Lead, mentor, and expand the sales team, fostering a culture of accountability, performance, and continuous improvement.
* Identify and secure new business opportunities across sectors such as commercial, industrial, residential, education, and public sector.
* Strengthen relationships with key clients, consultants, contractors, and fire safety partners.
* Oversee bid management and tender submissions, ensuring competitive, compliant, and commercially sound proposals.
* Collaborate with technical, operations, and compliance teams to ensure solutions meet BS, UK Fire Safety Order, and industry standards.
* Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory changes, translating insights into actionable sales initiatives.
* Manage sales forecasting, budgeting, and reporting, providing accurate performance insights to the executive team.
* Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and professional forums to enhance brand presence
Required Experience & Skills
* Proven experience in a senior sales leadership role within the fire safety, fire protection, life safety, or related compliance industries.
* Strong understanding of fire safety products and services (e.g., fire alarms, extinguishers, passive fire protection, emergency lighting, suppression systems).
* Demonstrated success in building and leading high-performing sales teams.
* Excellent commercial acumen with a track record of delivering revenue growth.
* Strong knowledge of UK fire safety regulations and compliance frameworks.
* Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
* Ability to work strategically while remaining hands-on when needed.
* Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel as required.
