You will play an important role in producing high quality precision components while working with modern equipment and experienced colleagues who take pride in their craft.The Opportunity:As a CNC Machinist you will play a key role in:Setting up CNC lathes by interpreting engineering drawings and selecting the correct tooling, fixtures and attachmentsProgramming or modifying CNC programs where required to support efficient and accurate productionOperating CNC turning machines while adjusting speeds, feeds and tooling to ensure precision machiningInspecting completed components to ensure they meet required specifications and quality standardsSupporting machine upkeep through routine maintenance, cleaning, lubrication and tool changesYour work will directly contribute to the consistent production of high quality precision engineered components that support a busy and growing manufacturing operation.About You:We are looking for a CNC Machinist who can bring:A completed Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship or CNC specific apprenticeshipExperience operating CNC turning machines, although candidates with CNC milling experience are also encouraged to applyThe ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical instructionsExperience working with machinery, tooling and production equipment in a manufacturing environmentStrong attention to detail and problem solving skills with a commitment to qualityA flexible approach to working early and late rotating shifts when requiredThe Benefits and Package:In return, you will enjoy:Salary - £33,000 per annumShift allowance when working afternoon shifts25 days holiday plus statutory holidaysPension - 5% employer contribution with minimum 3% employee contributionBonus scheme linked to attendance and performanceOvertime opportunities to enhance earningsAccess to medical health benefitsA supportive and friendly working environment within a stable manufacturing businessThis CNC Machinist opportunity offers the chance to build a long term career within a respected local employer that values precision, safety and continuous improvement.How to Apply:This exciting CNC Machinist opportunity is being managed by Consortium Professional Recruitment, a trusted recruitment partner.
