Job Title: Teaching Assistant – Secondary School (WN4)
Location: WN4, Wigan
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Full-time, Ongoing
Pay: £89.38 –£95 per day (depending on experience and qualifications)
A welcoming and inclusive secondary school in the WN4 area is looking to appoint a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support students across a range of subjects and year groups from September 2025.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about education and keen to support young people to achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide classroom support across Key Stages 3 and 4
* Work closely with teaching staff to deliver engaging and accessible learning
* Support individual students and small groups, including those with SEN
* Assist with classroom management and behaviour support
* Contribute to the wider life of the school and its community
The Successful Candidate Will Have:
* Experience working with young people in an educational or care setting
* A genuine interest in supporting secondary-aged students
* A flexible, reliable and proactive attitude
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
