Purpose of the Job
Working as part of CACI Information Intelligence Groups (IIG), you will be working on one of our fast-paced, agile projects; using agile methodology and architecture methodologies to enable the transformation of systems for customers. As a Senior Level Architect working on a range of Infrastructure, Network & Software Solutions, you will take a leading role in the delivery team, from defining/assessing high level technical architectures to managing relationships with our customers and taking accountability for delivering projects to agreed timelines. Through working closely with your counterparts within customers, we would expect you to grow the IIG influence and generally broaden the IIG footprint within Defence.
With a focus on the continued success of our Defence business stream, you will oversee the full project lifecycle including project concept formalisation; requirements analysis and specification; architecture design; Infrastructure / software implementation and delivery; training and support and maintenance.

Typical Responsibilities
▪ Drafting technical Statements of Requirements for networks, applications and platform solutions
▪ Defining and assessing technical architectures, solutions & business requirements
▪ Production of high- and low-level technical & operating model designs
▪ Providing consultancy support to customers, assisting them with technology choices and solutions to complex problems
▪ Using a wide range of technologies, specialising in the use of open-source libraries and components
▪ Deploying software systems to a mixture of environments including public (AWS and Azure) and private cloud
▪ Managing relationships with our customers
▪ Ensuring your knowledge and professional development keeps pace with an everchanging technology landscape
▪ Providing leadership and support to delivery team members as required
Knowledge & Skills
Knowledge:
▪ Demonstrable understanding of complex ICT network systems and the various services & tools available to ensure technical coherence and delivery.
▪ Understanding of security principles and how to implement practices so a projects systems are best protected.
▪ Understanding of DevOps and the techniques which enable it - including virtualisation, containerisation, continuous integration, continuous deployment, and infrastructure as code.
▪ Keeping pace with new technology trends and advising the business as to their commercial application/relevance.
▪ Practical, senior level experience and understanding of Network Cloud Technologies and their application
Experience:
▪ Defining and assessing technical architectures, requirements and solutions.
▪ Creation of technical statements of requirements for cloud native applications and platform solutions.
▪ Design and Implementation of solutions to support digital transformation and the modernisation of IT Infrastructure and services
▪ Lead enterprise architecture planning and strategy.
▪ Production of high & low level technical designs.
▪ Taking accountability for key project deliverables.
▪ Implementing Agile methodology and best practice into a delivery team.
▪ Leading technical engagement with senior users / customers.
▪ Providing support / mentoring / leadership to employees at the early stages of their career.
▪ Prior employment/ experience within the MOD is preferred, though not essential.
Skills:
▪ Ability to influence the way the team works, standards and the best practices for the team to follow.
▪ Appreciation for a projects strategic and commercial goals.
▪ Ability to lead and maintain long-term relationships with high-level stakeholders – both internally and externally.
▪ Adaptability and the ability to problem solve issues across multiple technologies
Clearance Requirements
Due to the industries this role will be associated with, we require the successful candidate to be eligible for security clearance. To qualify for this, you must be a British Citizen and have lived permanently in the UK for the last 5 years.
