My client is a biotech company looking to appoint a Contract Manager (FTC until end February 2026). The opportunity will provide a lot of autonomy working alongside the CFO. The role will support purely on contract management and is high volume. Key Responsibilities: Assist with the drafting, review, and processing of standard agreements, including: Confidentiality agreements (CDAs/NDAs) Consultancy agreements Clinical trial agreements (under supervision) Master service agreements (MSAs) Research collaboration and material transfer agreements (MTAs) Maintain accurate records of contracts and monitor key dates (e.g. expiries, renewals, deliverables) via Contracts Management System (previous knowledge of DocuSign CLM preferred). Support contract negotiations for all departments by preparing initial drafts, managing redlines, and tracking changes. Help ensure contracts comply with internal policies, legal requirements, and industry regulations (e.g. MHRA, GDPR) by coordinating review with internal stakeholders and external counsel. Coordinate contract approval workflows (DocuSign CLM) and signatures using electronic platforms (DocuSign). Liaise with internal departments (e.g. clinical, R&D, procurement, finance) to gather required information and ensure alignment on contractual matters. Support the development and maintenance of standard templates and clause libraries. Assist with contract audits, reports, and administrative tasks as needed. Skills & Experience Required: 2-3 years of experience in a legal, contracts, or paralegal role, preferably in the life sciences or healthcare industry. Basic understanding of contract law and standard commercial agreements. Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills. Good written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to work with both legal and non-legal stakeholders. Proficient in Microsoft Office and document editing tools; proficient in contract management system tools (DocuSign CLM is a plus).
