This role is for a full-time Speech and Language Therapist to join the Neurodiversity Pathway. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of CFHD, working within a multidisciplinary team to undertake specialist assessments and provide interventions. The therapist will liaise closely with colleagues within CFHD and external organisations.
Main Responsibilities
1. Hold an appropriate caseload and act as lead clinician for children receiving specialist assessments within the pathway.
2. Undertake specialist assessments, including risk assessments, provide some interventions, and collaborate with clinicians such as Clinical Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, Community Paediatrics, Nurses, and psychological therapists to ensure the best outcomes for children and young people.
3. Work with other Speech and Language Therapists across CFHD to implement the Balanced System, supporting children and young people to develop speech, language, and communication skills.
4. Work across pathways and geographical areas as required, based on need and demand.
