Damada Group, based in East Kilbride, is a multi-disciplined contractor with expertise across Asbestos Removals, Demolition/Soft-Strip and Land Remediation services.
We are relied upon by a wide variety of professionals from Main Contractors, Developers, Building Surveyors, and Building Owners/Managers to provide a thorough and expert service, keeping safety and quality at the centre of all that we do.
As part of these services, we are seeking to recruit an experienced Stores Manager to oversee the maintenance and distribution of our materials/equipment to sites and help ensure the smooth operation of our projects across Scotland.
Duties include but are not limited to:
· Work as part of the core Management team to assist with the delivery of all services across Scotland.
· Management of all company equipment at our Head Office in East Kilbride.
Damada Group have a range of Demolition and Asbestos-specific equipment to allow us to deliver our services. This role will oversee the maintenance and repair of any equipment to ensure they are in good working order and serviced (inc. DOP/PAT tests) within appropriate timeframes.
· Management of all company stock.
This position will ensure adequate stock levels are maintained and liaise with other division managers to ensure we are aware of projects due to start so as to order materials in advance.
· Oversee the picking and distribution of materials and equipment for site.
This position will be able to plan future projects to ensure all equipment is available for site teams to take to each project. When equipment/materials return from site, you will then log these back into the stores and stock.
· Organise and keep records up to date on all testing requirements for all plant and equipment
· Oversee purchase or records of hire of equipment.
· Work with Stores assistant to ensure all projects are serviced with materials and equipment to allow them to deliver services. This will include delivery and towing to/from site.
· Clean or maintain asbestos removal equipment.
· Ensure Respiratory Protective Equipment (RPE) is inspected and maintained as required
· Oversee vehicle repairs as required, using key suppliers and work in conjunction with Office Manager to ensure any faults are resolved.
Desired Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience:
· Previous experience in stores management, equipment/vehicle repairs, general construction trades.
· Knowledge/understanding of asbestos risks is desirable although not essential.
