Role Overview
This role is all about giving everyone a warm and well‑informed welcome as they arrive in a busy National Trust car park. The Car Park Assistant ensures visitors understand the layout and what the place offers, starting with a friendly greeting and continuing with practical information to give everyone an enjoyable and memorable day out.
Pay & Contract
Salary: £12.75 per hour.
Contract Duration: Fixed term until 30th June 2026.
Contract Type: Zero‑hour. Hours will vary and may shift with business needs. The role covers weekends and Bank Holidays but does not require evening or split shifts.

Working Environment
Located in the idyllic riverside gardens of Mottisfont, a historic visitor attraction with 1600 acres of woodland, tenanted farms, and Curbridge Nature Reserve. The garden features a sensory experience with old‑fashioned roses and ornamental fruit.
Responsibilities
* Meet and greet visitors as they arrive, helping them find parking spots.
* Sell parking tickets as required.
* Maintain cleanliness of the car park and surrounding area.
* Answer visitor questions, guiding them to facilities and providing information about the trust’s activities and projects.
* Promote local projects and the trust’s cause in interactions with customers.
* Work outdoors in all weather conditions.
