Role: Civil Engineer

My client is seeking to speak with highly motivated Civil Engineers with 3-6 years of UK-based experience for their Derby office. This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented professional to contribute to a diverse range of infrastructure and development projects, with a particular focus on sustainable drainage systems (SuDS) and flood risk assessments.
Civil Engineer Responsibilities:
* Support the design of surface water drainage systems in line with current UK regulations and best practice
* Prepare and review Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategies for planning applications
* Design and model drainage systems using MicroDrainage and InfoDrainage
* Liaise effectively with clients, local authorities, and other consultants to ensure smooth project delivery
Essential Requirements:
* 3-6 years of post-graduate UK civil engineering experience
* Knowledge of SuDS design principles and UK planning policies
* Experience in using MicroDrainage and InfoDrainage software
* Experience preparing Flood Risk Assessments
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Desirable:
* Experience working across multidisciplinary teams
* Familiarity with Civil 3D or similar modelling software
* Membership or working towards chartership with ICE or CIWEM
