Overview
We are seeking a skilled Plasterer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in plastering techniques and have experience working with various materials. This role requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. The Plasterer will be responsible for applying plaster to walls, ceilings, and other surfaces, ensuring a smooth finish that meets industry standards.
Duties
* Prepare surfaces for plastering by cleaning, repairing, and applying bonding agents as necessary.
* Mix plaster and other materials according to specifications for optimal application.
* Apply plaster using hand tools and power tools to achieve desired texture and finish.
* Work on various projects including residential properties, commercial buildings, and renovations.
* Collaborate with other tradespeople such as bricklayers and carpenters to ensure seamless integration of plasterwork with other construction elements.
* Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.
* Conduct repairs on existing plasterwork as required, ensuring high-quality results.
* Be able to work with lime plastering work.
* Be able to also perform rendering work.
Experience
* Proven experience in plastering or related fields is essential.
* Familiarity with masonry techniques is highly desirable.
* Proficiency in the use of hand tools and power tools relevant to plastering work.
* Experience with roof applications is an advantage.
* Knowledge of bricklaying practices can enhance your candidacy for this role.
* A willingness to learn new skills, including welding techniques if necessary, will be beneficial in this position.
