Start Date 5 th May 2026 or ASAP About the Role Key Responsibilities Provide support and attend to pupils’ personal needs, promoting social, health, and hygiene development. Support pupils with additional needs through 1:1 mentoring and tailored interventions. Assist teachers in implementing Individual Education and Behaviour Plans. Monitor and record pupil progress, behaviour, and attendance. Support pupils’ access to learning using appropriate strategies and resources. Liaise with parents/carers and external professionals to foster strong home-school links. Always promote and safeguard the welfare of children. Essential Requirements Experience supporting children’s learning in an educational setting Good literacy and numeracy skills NVQ Level 2 for Teaching Assistants (or equivalent experience) Understanding of SEN and relevant policies/codes of practice Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work as part of a team and use initiative. Effective use of ICT to support learning. Friendly, professional, and respectful approach. Open, honest, and committed to pupil welfare.
