What the Accounts Assistant Job Involves
You will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day finance function. Working closely with the Financial Controller and wider team.
Accurately processing supplier invoices and supporting the accounts payable function
Recording financial transactions and performing reconciliations on all customer accounts
Assisting with payroll, HMRC compliance, and employee expenses
Supporting the Financial Controller with monthly and year-end reporting using Excel
Helping prepare for audits and maintaining financial records
Providing general finance admin support and answering internal queries
This is a hands-on and varied role with exposure across the full finance function, offering a brilliant platform to grow in a regulated financial services environment.
Skills Required
We’re looking for someone who can bring:
Previous experience in a finance or accounts-based role or a relevant degree in Accountancy and Finance
High attention to detail and accuracy
Strong Excel skills (V Lookup and Pivot Tables) and the ability to manage data confidently
A team-focused, proactive attitude
Good organisational and communication skills
The ability to work with confidentiality and integrity
