Key aspects of the role:

Confined Space Training:
Ground workers in this role will have completed specialized training courses, such as the City & Guilds Confined Spaces or EUSR Confined Spaces courses, to gain the necessary knowledge and skills.

Safe Systems of Work:
They will be familiar with and follow established safe systems of work, including the use of permit-to-work systems for confined spaces.

Risk Assessment and Mitigation:
They will be able to identify potential hazards in confined spaces, such as lack of oxygen, toxic gases, or engulfment risks, and implement appropriate control measures.

Equipment Use:
They will be trained in the use of specialized equipment for confined space entry, such as gas detectors, ventilation equipment, and rescue apparatus.

Emergency Procedures:
They will be prepared to respond to emergencies within a confined space and know how to initiate rescue procedures
