Job Title: People Operations Administrator
Location: Bolton
Salary: Up to £25,000 per annum (dependent on experience and qualifications)
Contract: Fixed Term Contract - until January 2027
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm

The Role
We are looking for a highly organised and proactive People Operations Administrator to join our dynamic People Team during a pivotal time of continued organisational growth.
You will act as the first point of contact for People-related enquiries and play a key role in delivering an efficient, accurate and supportive HR administration service. From maintaining HR systems and documentation, to supporting onboarding, employee lifecycle processes and general People operations, you will help ensure our teams receive exceptional support.
This role is ideal for someone who is enthusiastic about HR, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is looking to further develop their experience within a large, forward-thinking organisation.
Key Responsibilities
* Set up and maintain personnel files for all employees, ensuring secure, confidential and accurate storage of documents.
* Place customer satisfaction at the heart of each task, acting with urgency and prioritising effectively.
* Provide basic advice to managers on HR operational matters and escalate complex queries when needed.
* Work collaboratively with the wider People Team and contribute to general HR administrative tasks.
* Respond in a timely manner to queries received via the HR Service Desk, verbally or in writing.
* Support managers and employees with basic advice on employment terms, policies and procedures.
* Provide administrative support across a variety of People Team activities, including change projects.
* Support People Administration processes relating to leavers, including references and absence-related documentation.
* Maintain and update People systems, ensuring data accuracy across areas such as job data, salary data and contractual changes.
* Issue correspondence related to contractual changes in a timely and accurate manner.
* Audit and authorise change requests and ensure compliance with internal processes.
* Participate in People-related projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Always operate within Company Policies and Procedures, especially regarding Safeguarding, GDPR and data integrity.
Experience & Skills
Essential:
* Excellent IT skills, including MS Word and Excel.
* Strong communication skills - both written and verbal.
* High level of organisation with the ability to prioritise.
* Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
* Accurate and detail-focused.
* Experience working with HR systems.
Desirable:
* Working towards or holding a Level 3 CIPD qualification.
* Experience with Access PeopleXD HRIS.
