Teaching Assistant
Start Date: ASAP/September 2024
The Role
We are seeking an outstanding individual to promote the inclusion of students within the classroom, ensuring they are able to access their lessons and their content through appropriate clarification, explanation and resources. You must have school based experience which has been ideally supporting SEND students but general experience is also welcomed.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
• To work in partnership with the class teachers to support learning in line with the national curriculum, the SEN Code of Practice (2015) and the Professional Standards of Teaching Assistants (2016) in addition to the schools policies and procedures.
• Proactively support SEN students with activities designed to enhance numeracy and literacy.
• Promoting positive behaviour, raising self-esteem and encouraging an aspirational culture.
• To support SEN students to foster their development as independent learners, utilising Information technology where appropriate.
We're looking for you if you have:
• GCSE A-C (or equivalent) Maths and English.
• Ability to use clear language to communicate information unambiguously and listen effectively.
• Ability to establish rapport and respectful and trusting relationships with children, their families, carers and other adults.
• Good organisational skills
• Excellent experience working with SEND students

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
