Starting salary - Minimum Wage for Age Minimum Entry Criteria - You must be a current University student in your 2nd year of study in Electrical Controls, Electrical Systems, Electrical & Electronic, Mechanical Engineering looking to spend your 3rd year on placement and graduating no earlier than July 2028. Must be well organised and disciplined, with the ability to prioritise workload and use time effectively. Must be proactive, self-motivated, agile, and work with limited supervision. Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with people at all levels in a professional and mature manner. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work well under pressure. This will be suited to you if You are dedicated, passionate, hands-on, willing to learn, you'll be a truly logical thinker, great problem solver and a tenacious, inquisitive student. What's more, your fresh approach and desire to always challenge the norm and think creatively and the desire to succeed in a fast-paced environment. What does the Design Engineer Scheme involve day to day? We are investing into the future of our business and, as a Design Engineering Graduate placement, you'll be a crucial part of that. You'll undertake tailored placements that perfectly suit your career aspirations, contributing to large scale projects - not just working on one small section of the machine, but on large systems or the entire machine architectures. There's also the chance to get stuck into a more commercially focused placement to experience engineering from a unique perspective. This is a scheme for those who have a unique view of the work they're doing and want to have their voice heard in a high-impact environment. What could I be doing? Touch screen display programming covering both front-end UI and backend coding techniques Electrical design of circuits and harnesses using relevant CAD software Specific machine system testing and verification to evaluate new functionality or discover potential issues Researching future technologies that will ensure positive innovation and improvements across our new fleet of machines What comes next? We'll be shortlisting and sending out interviews in April 2026. We aim to call all candidates whether successful or unsuccessful a few weeks after the interview has taken place.
