Investigo are recruiting a Finance Manager – Control & Reporting, accountable for maintaining the integrity, control, and governance of the finance function across transactional and overhead accounting. In this pivotal role, you will ensure accuracy and compliance with UK statutory and Group requirements, lead robust financial reporting processes, and oversee key activities such as audits, statutory reporting, and treasury operations.
Based in Luton, Bedfordshire reporting to the Finance Director, you will play a vital part in upholding a strong control environment while supporting business operations. What You’ll Be Doing:
Financial Reporting & Control
* Manage the month-end close process to deliver accurate and timely financial reporting.
* Review and challenge results to ensure data integrity and accountability.
* Maintain strong governance over balance sheet controls.
Audit & Compliance
* Lead the external audit process, ensuring seamless planning, delivery, and resolution of any issues.
* Deliver statutory accounts, tax packs, and Group reporting requirements.
* Maintain comprehensive audit trails and robust compliance documentation.
Treasury & Cash Management
* Oversee treasury operations, including cash flow forecasting, FX exposure, and financial risk management.
* Manage banking relationships while driving effective liquidity and working capital management.
* Provide oversight and challenge in credit control and cash management activities.
Payroll, Accounts Payable & Expense Oversight
* Lead and maintain oversight of payroll, AP, and expense processes, ensuring compliance with control policies.
* Approve payment runs, credit limits, and supplier accounts within delegated authority limits.
Deputy to Finance Director
* Act as a deputy to the Finance Director, ensuring leadership continuity.
* Provide business-centred financial leadership and manage priority issues.
* Support stakeholders across the business to ensure timely decision-making and operational continuity.
What We’re Looking For:
Minimum Experience/Qualifications
* Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent).
* Proven experience in a financial control position with a strong track record in integrity, governance, and reporting. Alternatively, experience as a Audit Manager with relevant expertise.
* Demonstratable success in leading and elevating finance teams while embedding strong controls and improving delivery quality and timeliness.
* Extensive knowledge and application of accounting standards, balance sheet controls, and audit processes.
Salary
£65,000 to £72,000 basic plus full benefits package to including hybrid working (4 days office-based, reducing to 3 days post-probation)
