Aftersales Advisor

Role & Purpose

The Aftersales Advisor is a member of the Aftersales Team and will report to the Service Manager. The Aftersales Advisor will co-ordinate service activity between customers, parts department, and technicians in an efficient and courteous manner whilst maximising workshop utilisation and acting on opportunities to sell additional products services and parts.

Responsibilities

* To understand and qualify the customers service/repair requirements.
* Advise estimates of both time and likely cost to set expectations accordingly.
* Arranges where appropriate loan car/delivery or collection for customer.
* Co-ordinates workshop activity to deliver agreed work.
* To update the customer on progress including any additional works/costs.
* Invoices customer on completion of work.
* To collate and submit warranty claims as per the manufacture’s requirements.
* Works as a full member of the dealership team to provide excellent customer service.
* It is the responsibility of the Aftersales Advisor to ensure that their immediate working environment is kept clean and devoid of any working practice which may be hazardous to either themselves or others.
* Protective clothing and equipment supplied by the Company will be worn or used as and when appropriate.
* Handling of waste products and hazardous materials must be carried out as per company policies and C.O.S.H.H. regulations.
* The Aftersales Advisor may also be asked from time to time to carry out other tasks not outlined above. Such tasks shall be reasonable and commensurate with the ability of the employee.

Essential & Desirable Skills & Qualifications

Essential:

* Fluent written and spoken English
* PC, Microsoft, web literate
* Full, clean driving licence

Desirable:

* Proven track record of individual excellence
* Previous experience preferred
