Scope of Role
The Technical Services department within Pharmacy is looking for an enthusiastic individual to become an integral part of our Aseptic Service team. The role involves the manufacture and dispensing of ready‑to‑use, patient‑specific, aseptically prepared injections including cancer chemotherapy. The incumbent will perform complex calculations, complete documentation and undertake intricate manipulations while working within isolators in our clean‑room facilities.
Key Responsibilities
The role requires supportive work in the Pharmacy Aseptic Unit, preparing chemotherapy injections for patients with cancer. Responsibilities include:
* Preparing and dispensing ready‑to‑use, patient‑specific injections.
* Performing complex calculations and documenting processes.
* Working within isolators in clean‑room facilities.
* Maintaining strict deadlines and good communication skills.
Qualifications & Attributes
We look for a person who:
* Has a positive, responsible attitude to work.

* Can work to strict deadlines and work autonomously.
* Is an enthusiastic team member.
* Possesses previous pharmacy or manufacturing experience (advantage but not essential). Comprehensive training and support will be given.
Location & Environment
Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is situated a 45‑minute drive from Manchester. The Trust serves 440,000 residents of Blackpool, Fylde & Wyre and North Lancashire, and provides specialist tertiary care for Cardiac and Haematology patients.
Vaccination Requirement
