Pharmacy Manager (9-12 months FTC)

Reporting to: Senior Pharmacy Manager
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 - 18:00
Salary: Competitive + annual bonus
This is a fixed-term contract for 9 to 12 months, with the potential for a permanent position based on performance.

About the role:
The Pharmacy Manager oversees pharmacy operations, ensuring compliance, staff supervision, and regulatory adherence. Responsibilities include:
1. Reporting pharmacy KPIs daily to the Superintendent Pharmacist, such as orders completed, issue logs, returns, and productivity.
2. Ensuring compliance with UK pharmacy regulations set by GPhC.
3. Managing day-to-day pharmacy activities including dispensing, inventory, quality control, health & safety, and productivity.
4. Supervising pharmacy and support staff, providing training and guidance.
5. Managing security, including escalations and key holding post-probation.
6. Controlling inventory to minimize discrepancies and losses.
7. Collaborating with senior staff to manage regulatory risks.
8. Supporting recruitment, including interviews and inductions.
9. Maintaining accurate records of transactions and regulatory documentation.
10. Ensuring patient confidentiality and security.
11. Supporting disaster recovery plans to ensure service continuity.
12. Monitoring daily sales order productivity and maintaining customer service standards.
13. Overseeing staff resourcing during leave and absences.
Minimum requirements:
* GPhC Registered Pharmacist.
* Bachelor's degree in pharmacy, life sciences, or related field.
* Previous supervisory or managerial experience.
* In-depth knowledge of pharmacy regulations (GPhC).
* Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
* Proficiency in MS Office.
* Analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
* Leadership skills including mentoring and motivating teams.
