Responsibilities
* Provide technical support to colleagues on various traffic signal equipment.
* Perform complex fault diagnosis and installation tasks, covering equipment such as CCTV, VMS, wireless communications, routers & traffic signal controller configurations.
* Offer technical expertise to other Technical Support Engineers when necessary, as well as supporting maintenance and installation teams.
* Conduct intricate configuration of traffic signal equipment.
* Commission traffic signalling equipment to ensure proper functionality.
* Be available for standby duty, responding to emergency repairs and out-of-hours service contract requirements.
* Complete mandatory NHSS training requirements successfully.
* Collaborate with Technical Support and Engineering teams in Poole to refine processes and tools used for work execution.
* Initiate and drive improvement projects to optimise operational efficiency.
* Work closely with managers to ensure consistent, high-quality work across the team.
* Implement best practices to address any inconsistencies within the team.
* Coach and mentor other engineers to support their professional development.
* Undertake relevant training to stay updated with new equipment and systems.
Qualifications & Experience
* HNC / ONC / City and Guilds or equivalent experience in electrical engineering.

* Previous involvement with a wide array of Intelligent Traffic Systems and specialised knowledge of products/systems, such as configuration and communication systems.
* Prior experience testing electrical equipment in an industrial setting.
* Track record of involvement in improvement projects and innovation initiatives.
