CNC Operator / Programmer

Hours: 39 per week
Schedule: Monday to Thursday 07:00–16:30, Friday 07:00–14:15

Recruit Central is looking for a skilled CNC Operator / Programmer to join our client’s manufacturing team. This role involves operating CNC machinery to produce precision parts and components, ensuring the highest quality standards are met throughout the fabrication process.
Job Overview
The successful candidate will have a keen eye for detail, the ability to work efficiently in a team environment, and proven experience in CNC programming and operation. You will be responsible for producing high-quality components, setting up tooling, interpreting technical drawings, and ensuring smooth production runs.
Key Responsibilities

Operate CNC milling and turning machines, as well as other related equipment, to fabricate parts according to specifications
*
Interpret technical drawings and CAD files using SolidWorks and other design software
*
Set up tooling and fixtures for production runs, ensuring materials are handled safely and effectively
*
Conduct regular inspections of finished products to ensure they meet quality standards
*
Perform routine start-up checks on machinery and report any issues to the supervisor
*
Assemble components as required, using hand tools and basic maths skills for accurate measurements
*
Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations
Skills and Requirements
*
Proficiency in operating milling and turning machines, with a strong understanding of CNC programming
*
Familiarity with tooling setups and ability to manufacture parts from raw materials
*
Competence in using Fanuc controls and hand tools effectively
*
Strong basic maths skills for precise measurements and calculations
*
Attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work
*
Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated
*
Experience in conventional machining
