Duties as a Year 2 Teacher:
* Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality lessons tailored to a range of abilities.
* Track and assess pupil progress, keeping accurate records and reporting to parents and senior leaders.
* Create a positive, stimulating and safe classroom environment that encourages curiosity and independence.
* Support pupils’ social and emotional development, promoting positive behaviour and inclusion.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues, teaching assistants and parents to support each child’s learning journey.
* Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and whole-school events.
Ideal Year 2 Teacher:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
* Strong knowledge of the Key Stage 1 curriculum and effective classroom strategies.
* Ability to inspire, motivate and support young learners of all abilities.
* Excellent communication, organisation and behaviour management skills as a Year 2 Teacher.
