Full-Time BSL Teaching Assistant – Gateshead
Protocol Education is recruiting for a caring and nurturing school in Gateshead that is seeking a full-time BSL Teaching Assistant from September.
The school is committed to ensuring all pupils receive the support they need to succeed both academically and socially.
Role Responsibilities:
* Supporting pupils with hearing and communication needs
* Using BSL to facilitate understanding and participation
* Delivering one-to-one and group support sessions
* Encouraging communication and independence
* Assisting with emotional wellbeing and confidence building
* Working closely with teaching and support staff
Candidate Profile:
* BSL Level 2 qualified
* Passionate about supporting children and young people
* Positive, patient and resilient
* Experience in a school or support setting is advantageous
* Full UK driving licence required
