This is an exciting time to join the Emergency Department as we are currently undergoing a rebuild to enhance the patient’s journey through the department. We have introduced dynamic patient pathways to improve patient flow and experience that has resulted in the vast improvement of the department’s performance. Our team is motivated, energetic and we strive to deliver the highest standards of evidence based nursing care. We are passionate about Emergency Nursing and the service we provide our local community. Training is a key part of our department strategy and we fully support and promote the development of our nursing team. Examples of training we provide includes Plastering, venepuncture & cannulation and IV administration. We also support ILS, PILS, ALERT, ALS, ATLS, Mentor prep courses and have close links with the university. To apply for the Band 5 position, you will have at least 6 months acute experience at Band 5, with evidence of continuing professional development. You will have to demonstrate a working knowledge and understanding of current issues in the Emergency care within the NHS. The successful applicant must be able to work an internal rotation shift pattern of days and nights, be able to work in a fast pace environment must possess good communication skills and be able to use their own initiative.
