We are delighted to offer this exciting full-time 8a or 7-8a development post (dependent on experience) in our neurodevelopment service in North Wales. You will join a well-established MDT providing specialised neurodevelopmental assessments and support for neuro-divergent children and young people and their families. The team has strong links with local CAMHS, Intellectual Disability services and multiagency partners. Your specialist psychological input to assessments and interventions will be highly valued.
According to experience, you will contribute to supervision of colleagues, including assistant psychologists. You will provide training and teaching, and support innovative service improvement activities, including audit and service evaluation. This post is part of a wider Child Psychology team where quality improvement, supervision and continued professional development are valued. We have an excellent relationship with Bangor Clinical Psychology Programme and provide regular teaching/placements.

Responsibilities
The successful candidate will undertake a range of assessments and deliver appropriate therapeutic interventions, alongside some care coordination. They will promote psychological thinking and formulation within a multidisciplinary team and provide consultation to multi-agency professionals and families. Supervision of others, delivery of training, leadership and service development will also form an integral part of this development role.
We are looking for a newly qualified Clinical Psychologist who has relevant experience and can evidence their commitment to clinical quality, evidence-based practice and maintaining high professional standards for themselves and others.
On commencing in post, the successful applicant will have a development plan and agree a target timescale of between 6 months and 2 years for completion, depending on current skills and experience. Regular clinical supervision will be provided by a Senior Clinical Psychologist. Promotion to a substantive 8a post will be achieved on fulfilling required competencies.
Qualifications and Experience
Essential
* Honours Degree in Psychology
* Eligibility for Graduate membership of the British Psychological Society
* Post-graduate Doctoral qualification in Clinical Psychology (or its equivalent for those trained prior to 1996 or for those trained overseas), as accredited by the British Psychological Society
* Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council
* Assessed experience of working as a qualified clinical psychologist, normally including significant post-qualification experience within the designated speciality where the post is located, or relevant transferable skills
Desirable
* Pre-qualification training and qualifications in research methodology, staff training and/or other fields of applied psychology
* Experience of teaching, training and/or supervision
