Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen team in delivering exceptional culinary experiences. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in restaurant operations, food safety, and food preparation, along with excellent leadership and team management skills. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen activities, ensuring high standards of food production, and maintaining a positive and efficient working environment.
Duties
* Supervise and coordinate daily kitchen operations, ensuring all dishes are prepared to the highest quality standards.
* Develop and design innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends while meeting customer preferences.
* Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean, organised kitchen environment.
* Train, mentor, and manage kitchen staff to enhance their culinary skills and foster teamwork.
* Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to ensure seamless kitchen operations.
* Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service delivery and customer satisfaction.
* Maintain cost control measures to optimise food production efficiency without compromising quality.
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar role within the restaurant industry.
* Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
* Expertise in food preparation techniques and culinary arts.
* Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
* Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in food production processes.
* Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality.
