Academic Integrity and Quality Assurance Coordinator

We are excited to announce an opportunity to join our Training Department as an Academic Integrity and Quality Assurance Coordinator. This role is responsible for upholding the integrity of our academic practices by managing and investigating cases of academic misconduct, including plagiarism and the inappropriate use of artificial intelligence (AI). This role will support the development of robust assessment design and ensure academic practices meet awarding body and regulatory standards. You will play a key role in fostering a culture of ethical learning, working closely with learners, instructors, and assessors to promote and maintain the highest standards of academic conduct.

08:30 to 16:30, Monday to Friday (35 hours per week)
Head Office; our current head office is located in Moreton-in-Marsh, but we will be relocating to Banbury Business Park in January 2026. In the interim, we will cover travel expenses for employees based in the Banbury area.

Key Responsibilities
• Investigating cases of academic misconduct (e.g. ChatGPT, plagiarism, inappropriate AI use) using detection tools and evidence-based reporting
• Maintaining confidential records, advising decision-makers, and ensuring GDPR and awarding body compliance
• Developing and updating policies, procedures and guidance on academic integrity, acceptable AI use, and assessment conduct in line with regulatory requirements
• Collaborating with tutors and curriculum teams to design authentic, robust assessments that minimise risks of plagiarism or misuse of AI tools
• Delivering training, workshops, and guidance to staff and students to foster a culture of integrity and prevent misconduct
• Monitoring trends, conducting audits, monitoring and reporting KPIs, and providing reports to leadership
• Supporting continuous improvement in teaching, assessment, and verification practices based on investigation outcomes and data analysis
• Liaising with awarding organisations during audits or investigations, ensuring compliance with external standards
• Strong and confident communicator with the ability to adapt to a variety of audiences
• Ability to provide and receive constructive feedback

Key Education and experience
* Strong knowledge of academic integrity principles and quality assurance in education or training
* Familiarity with plagiarism and AI detection tools (e.g. Turnitin, GPTZero, Copyleaks)
* Experience in academic misconduct investigations, evidence gathering, and report writing
* Experience of quality assurance in an academic or training environment
* Familiarity with accreditation and regulatory bodies
* Sound understanding of assessment design principles and internal quality assurance processes
* Able to manage cases, deadlines, and documentation effectively
* Experience of using LMS
Holder of, or willingness to work toward:
* Teaching, assessment, or IQA qualification (e.g. TAQA, Level 4 Certificate in Education & Training)
* CPD or certification related to academic integrity, ethics in education, or use of AI in learning
* Experience developing or evaluating curriculum and assessment
* Working knowledge of awarding body and regulatory frameworks in further education or training
