Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Van Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while ensuring excellent customer service. This role requires a strong understanding of commercial driving, teamwork, and the ability to communicate effectively with both clients and warehouse staff.
Responsibilities
* Safely operate a van to deliver goods to various locations.
* Ensure timely delivery of products while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
* Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
* Load and unload goods, ensuring they are secured properly during transit.
* Communicate effectively with warehouse personnel regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
* Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation.
Requirements
* Valid driving licence with a clean driving record; experience as a van driver is essential.
* Previous experience in commercial driving or as a delivery driver is preferred.
* Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with team members and clients.
* Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
* Ability to lift heavy items and perform physical tasks associated with loading/unloading goods.
* Flexibility to work varied hours as required by the delivery schedule.
* Minimum 2 years van driving experience
Pay/ Salary:
* Pay rate is £12.21 per hour Paye
