Are you looking for a fulfilling role in a breathtaking coastal location? Join our friendly, forward-thinking team in Kilcreggan and Garelochhead, west coast village areas with welcoming communities. This is an exciting opportunity as we are building a new team of salaried General Practitioners, the first of whom has recently been appointed. There will be opportunities to get involved in Quality Improvement Projects focused on enhancing patient experience and streamlining practice processes.
The villages of Kilcreggan and Garelochhead offer an excellent rural Argyll lifestyle while remaining close to the Central Belt of Scotland.
Well-connected: Both villages are serviced by reliable bus routes to Helensburgh, and you can take the Ferry from Kilcreggan Pier to Gourock. Both Helensburgh and Gourock have regular trains to Glasgow city centre. Glasgow is only an hour’s drive away, and Greenock is under 10 minutes from Gourock. These areas feature large shopping facilities, cinemas, restaurants, and bars.
Community Amenities: Each village has small shops, cafes, and family-friendly pubs. There are three Nursery and Primary schools, with the secondary school in Helensburgh.
Family Friendly: Activities include sailing, hiking, and enjoying stunning scenery. The villages offer walking trails, architecture, and outdoor activities in welcoming environments.
Natural Beauty: Located on the banks of the Firth of Clyde, Loch Long, and Gare Loch, with magnificent views and surrounded by hills and mountains. Loch Lomond is only 35 minutes away by car.
About Our Practices: Our patient-centred practices serve 4,286 patients and are supported by a multidisciplinary team including practice nurses, healthcare assistants, reception staff, and a practice manager.
Our Team: Includes a part-time salaried GP, practice nurses, healthcare assistants, reception team, and practice manager.
Integrated Care: Work closely with physiotherapists, mental health workers, community link workers, pharmacists, paramedics, nurses, and social workers.
Supportive Environment: Participate in multidisciplinary teams, peer support, and group meetings.
Work-Life Balance: No out-of-hours commitments, allowing you to enjoy the surroundings.
