Job Title: Buyer
Location: Norfolk
Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 per annum plus package
About the Role
We are working on behalf of a well-established and growing house builder in Norfolk who is looking to appoint an experienced Buyer to join their commercial team. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and detail-oriented individual to play a key role in the procurement of materials and subcontract services across multiple residential developments.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the procurement of materials, plant, and subcontract services in line with project requirements and budgets
Source and negotiate with suppliers to secure best value without compromising quality
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and new suppliers
Monitor market trends, pricing, and supply chain risks
Work closely with Commercial, Technical, and Site teams to ensure timely delivery of materials
Prepare and issue enquiries, analyse quotations, and make recommendations
Ensure compliance with company procedures and industry regulations
About You
Proven experience in a Buyer or Procurement role within the house building or construction sector
Strong negotiation and communication skills
Good understanding of construction materials and supply chain processes
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
Proficient in Microsoft Office and procurement systems
Highly organised with strong attention to detail
