Overview
Area Sales Manager – Process Control and Automation covering North East, Yorkshire and South Yorkshire. Base salary up to GBP 55K plus uncapped bonus, company car or allowance, pension, private medical, life assurance and business expenses. This is a field-based technical sales role in the automation and control sector.
Responsibilities
* Sell process automation products and the full product range to existing and new customers across the territory (North East, Yorkshire and South Yorkshire).
* Develop relationships with Panel Builders, System Integrators, OEMs and End Users directly and via a Partner Distribution Network.
* Maintain an established customer base and identify potential new customers; gather information for business development.
* Receive comprehensive ongoing product training.
* Collaborate with the sales team and distribution partners; operate within the territory with suitable travel.
Qualifications
* Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills; ability to build lasting client relationships with Key Accounts.
* B2B field sales experience as Area Sales Engineer/Area Sales Manager/BDM within control and automation, process automation or process instrumentation; experience in oil & gas, pharmaceutical, chemical, energy or utilities sectors is preferred.
* Engineering qualification in Electrical/Electronic Engineering (ONC/HNC or Degree) preferred.
* Willingness to travel within the territory and hold a valid driving license.
