Responsibilities:
Financial Analysis and Reporting:
* Utilise financial data to provide insightful analysis on budget variances, trends, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
* Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management review, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
* Collaborate with department heads and stakeholders to develop meaningful financial forecasts and projections.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
* Lead the annual budgeting process, working closely with department managers to establish realistic financial targets and objectives.
* Monitor budget performance throughout the fiscal year, identifying potential risks and opportunities for cost optimisation.
* Develop and maintain financial models to support long-term strategic planning initiatives.
Cost Management and Optimisation:
* Conduct cost analysis to identify areas of inefficiency and implement strategies for cost reduction and optimisation.
* Provide recommendations to management on resource allocation and investment decisions to maximise financial performance.
* Support decision-making processes by evaluating the financial implications of proposed projects and initiatives.
Process Improvement:
* Continuously review and streamline financial processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
* Implement best practices in financial reporting and analysis, leveraging technological solutions where applicable.
* Serve as a subject matter expert on financial systems and tools, providing training and support to team members as needed.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Full ACCA/CIMA certification.
* Proven experience in management accounting, financial planning, and analysis, preferably in an academic or non-profit setting.
* Strong proficiency in financial modelling, budgeting software, and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
* Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and communicate findings effectively to diverse stakeholders.
* Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, prioritising tasks and meeting deadlines with minimal supervision.
* Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and integrity in financial reporting.
* Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and business needs, with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
