Role Overview
Reporting to the DDO, the postholder will provide operational leadership for the directorate's services, ensuring delivery within agreed budgets, activity levels, and standards of clinical quality. This senior role supports the DD and DDO across all sites where divisional services operate, with a primary base at one site but requiring travel for visibility across the division. The postholder holds delegated responsibility for operational management, implementing national and local strategies, and achieving service objectives within available resources.
Key Responsibilities
* Drive effective leadership, management, and capacity to support transformation and service delivery.
* Ensure decisions made by the DDO are translated into action and key programmes are delivered successfully.
* Foster staff engagement in delivering divisional strategy as part of the directorate triumvirate with the Head of Nursing and Clinical Director.
* Deputise for the DDO and provide cross‑cover for other General Managers within the division.
