Diagnostic Technician – Ford, South Woodham Ferrers
Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time. Salary: up to £49,600 OTE (including basic up to £41,000 depending on qualifications, plus £2k EV uplift, and uncapped bonus). Hours: 42 hours per week, Monday - Friday 08:00 to 17:00 and alternate Saturdays 08:00 to 12:00. Lookers Ford in South Woodham Ferrers is recruiting for a Vehicle Technician / Mechanic to join their workshop. You will work alongside other experienced technicians, carrying out vehicle health checks using the latest technology, performing vehicle services and completing additional repairs. You will report to the Aftersales Manager, who will provide ongoing support and ensure you have the tools needed to succeed.

Responsibilities
* Supporting and providing guidance for all Technicians and Apprentices within the workshop
* Carrying out mechanical and electrical diagnosis using brand-specific diagnostic equipment to manufacturers guidelines
* Assisting the Service and Diagnostic technicians with vehicle engine and mechanical/electrical diagnosis, using computer-based technology
* Liaising with the manufacturers' technical team when guidance is required
* Advising the customer/manufacturer of any further work required
* Road testing vehicles to ensure all work has been completed to Lookers standard
Qualifications
* Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent)
* Full and valid UK driving licence
* Self-motivated, able to support the team, ambitious and eager to learn; able to maintain high standards for all vehicles
* Brand experience is desirable but not essential, as brand accreditation training will be provided
* Diagnostic, MOT and EV experience is desirable but not essential
