Here at Mountain Healthcare, we are looking for passionate, determined, and resilient individuals to join our teams as Forensic Custody Healthcare Professionals based in Surrey.
Main duties of the job
Duties include:
* Forensic sampling (including road traffic offence bloods)
* Signposting and conducting referrals; offering support for vulnerabilities and supporting patients to break patterns of re-offending
* Delivering substance misuse therapies
* Assessment & care of detainees and staff in custody suites
* Promoting good personal healthcare
* Working with Liaison and Diversion to identify mental health needs

Job responsibilities
This role is suitable for RGN's and qualified Paramedics with 3+ years' post-qualification experience.
Custody environments are dynamic; police can detain individuals for up to 24 hours, during which we provide high-level care tailored to needs such as substance dependency or acute medical episodes. Our healthcare professionals are trained to collect forensic samples to assist police investigations. Experience in forensics is NOT required. As a Forensic Custody Healthcare Professional, you will work closely with police and receive training to become an accredited Forensic Practitioner.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Qualified Registered Nurse or Paramedic
* A FULL UK Driving License
Experience
* Minimum of 3 years' post-qualification experience
* Experience in A&E, walk-in centres, substance misuse, community nursing, police custody, prisons, or as a Paramedic Practitioner is advantageous
Disclosure and Barring Service Check
This role requires a DBS check in accordance with the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975.
