Overview
Consultant Psychiatrist role at Tokitan.TV. The Neurodevelopmental Service (NDS) is seeking two full-time Consultant Psychiatrists for an initial fixed-term 1-year contract focusing on developing a system-wide neurodevelopmental pathway, starting with a primary care provider collaborative to deliver a primary care ADHD assessment service, providing training, consultation and supervision to local GPs and primary care health professionals to deliver ADHD diagnostic and treatment work.
Responsibilities
* Provide assessment for ADHD, Autism and Tic disorders and deliver treatment for ADHD and Tic disorders; supervise the team of Nurse Prescribers in initiating, titrating and evaluating ADHD medication.
* Develop and implement a system-wide ND pathway beginning with a pilot for primary care provider collaboration to deliver ADHD services, including training, consultation and supervision.
* Maintain excellent communication with all stakeholders including service users, third sector providers, and internal and external partners.
* Contribute to the NDS, a specialist clinical diagnostic assessment and consultation service for adults with suspected ASC, ADHD, Tourette syndrome and Tic disorder, delivered by Senior Nurse Practitioners and a weekly multidisciplinary clinic (Neuropsychiatrist, Consultant Psychologist and Speech and Language Therapist).
Qualifications
* Knowledge and experience in the field are advantageous; training and support are available from the team of Neuropsychiatrists who are leading national experts.
* Excellent communication skills are essential for engaging with all stakeholders.

The service location includes Brighton and Hove, East Sussex and West Sussex, with opportunities to engage in a multidisciplinary clinical setting.
