Job Description: Leisure Attendant (Lifeguard)
Join our leisure centre team as a Leisure Attendant (Lifeguard). We offer various shift patterns and hours, with pay rates dependent on the National Minimum Wage age bracket. Both casual and regular hours are available. Our centres operate 7 days a week.
Role Overview: As a Leisure Attendant, you will play a vital role in the smooth operation of the centre, ensuring customer safety and providing excellent service.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Perform general lifeguard duties according to the National Pool Lifeguard Qualification standards, ensuring the poolside is never unattended.
2. Monitor pool conditions, including water clarity and odour, reporting issues to the Duty Manager.
3. Manage the number of swimmers and advise the Duty Manager when additional lifeguards are needed.
4. Follow the centre's Pool Safety Operating Procedures at all times.
5. Maintain your NPLQ through regular training sessions.
6. Provide outstanding customer care, handle minor issues, and escalate serious problems appropriately.
7. Ensure the health and safety of all customers.
8. Be familiar with the Centre's Emergency Procedures as detailed in the Health and Safety Manual.
9. Inspect and report any damage or malfunction of equipment or facilities.
10. Assist in the setup and dismantling of events and activities, including minor repairs.
11. Carry out cleaning duties and maintain tidy storage areas.
12. Handle and record lost property according to company procedures.
13. Assist with opening and closing the centre daily.
14. Perform additional tasks as directed by management.
