Job Description
3. Provide expert guidance on employee relations matters, including grievances, disciplinaries, and policy interpretation.
4. Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with organisational objectives.
5. Ensure compliance with employment law and internal policies.
6. Support line managers with performance management and workforce planning.
7. Lead on complex casework, offering practical solutions and minimising risk.
8. Contribute to the development of HR policies and procedures to support organisational growth.
9. Deliver relevant training sessions to staff and management on HR best practices.
10. Act as a trusted advisor to leadership on all employee relations matters.
The Successful Applicant
A successful ER Manager should have:
11. Proven experience in employee relations within the not-for-profit or similar sector.
12. Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
13. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for building relationships across all levels.
14. Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism.
15. Experience managing complex casework effectively and efficiently.
16. A CIPD qualification or equivalent HR certification.
17. A proactive and solutions-focused approach to problem-solving.
