Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Structural Engineer / Senior Structural Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, analysing, and overseeing the construction of various structural projects, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards. Responsibilities
* Develop detailed structural designs using CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, and MicroStation.
* Conduct structural analysis and calculations to ensure stability and safety of designs using tools like Mathcad.
* Prepare technical reports, specifications, and construction documents for review and approval.
* Collaborate with project managers, architects, and construction teams to coordinate project requirements and timelines.
* Oversee construction activities to ensure adherence to design specifications and safety standards.
* Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources effectively through project management practices.
* Conduct site inspections and assessments during different phases of construction.
Required Skills & Experience
* Minimum of 5 years in the role across commercial and residential sectors.
* Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, MicroStation, and other CAD software packages.
* Strong understanding of system design principles within civil engineering contexts.
* Experience with project management methodologies relevant to engineering projects.
* Excellent mathematical skills with the ability to perform complex calculations using Mathcad or similar tools.
* Knowledge of construction processes and materials relevant to structural engineering.
* Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately.
* Effective communication skills for liaising with clients, contractors, and team members.

Qualifications
* Postgraduate degree (usually an BEng or MEng) in civil or structural engineering that is recognised by the Institution of Structural Engineers (IStructE) and/or Institute of Civil Engineers
