Permanent role, Southend-on-Sea, Salary £32,000-£40,000 depending on experience
We are looking for a CNC programmer and operator engineer experienced in setting and running manual and CNC machines to manufacture precision components and jigs/fixtures/tools. Understanding engineering principles and maintaining/servicing machines. You must have good communication skills coupled with good computer literacy.
List of machinery to be used, maintained, serviced & repaired.
* 4 Axis CNC Vertical Machining Centre.
* Colchester Lathe, Bridgeport Mill, Bandsaw & Surface grinder.
Key responsibilities
* Create a maintenance log and service schedule for each machine and ensure all schedules are adhered to.
* Close working relationship with supplier of machines.
* Taking data from Design Team (using Sold Works) importing into CAM software (VISI knowledge would be beneficial) creating and machining parts/assemblies.
* Programming, setting and operating various manual and CNC machines.
* Selecting, purchasing and maintaining tooling. To carry stock of replacement/service parts.
* Able to read and understand engineering drawings.
* Ensuring all H&S requirements are met for machines and users. You will be expected to be proactive, self-determined and show full responsibility in your role.
Full training will be given on any machines or software that the candidate is not familiar with. You must be familiar with and use all Rega strategies and procedures that apply to your area of responsibility.
Dally tasks
* Ensure all Health & Safety procedures are followed.
* Be aware of factory visitors, to ensure all machinery is operating correctly and can be demonstrated if required.
